Community Acupuncture

Acupuncture can be done in individual sessions or in a community setting. Dr Preeta offers community acupuncture on Saturdays from 10am to 2pm. Cost is $30. No appointments are necessary, just walk in. Last call is at 1:30pm. She will do a brief intake with you and then use needles to improve your symptoms, for pain or stress relief, or for overall health. You will spent 30 minutes with the needles.

It is recommended you eat and drink before coming for good energy and wear loose clothing that can go up to your elbows and knees, shorts are good. Needles will be applied to the head, neck, elbows and down to the hands, knees and down to the feet. Any of these points in your limbs can help any symptoms including back pain, digestive issues, menstrual problems, stress, depression, insomnia and urinary issues to name a few.

The setting is in a large room with multiple anti-gravity chairs separated by screens. Currently, we have six chairs plus an overflow room if needed. There is dim lighting and soft music. It is a quiet space for all to relax. When multiple people are healing in a setting like this, healing can be amplified.

Community acupuncture is a good way to start if this is your first time. It gives you an initial experience of needling before you come in for individual sessions. Dr Preeta offers this as her community service to Olympia and surrounding cities as a low-cost option.
